The word yoga means "union" in Sanskrit, the language of ancient India where yoga originated. You can think of the union occuring between the mind, body and spirit.
Using poses (asanas) and breathing (pranayama), yoga helps to settle the body and quiet the mind. Yoga can improve posture, flexibility, and endurance as well as promote relaxation and inner peace.

Jennifer found yoga over a decade ago, when she was trying to find a way to release stress and recover flexibility. She noticed the physical benefits of practice immediately and was hooked! Since then, she has continued to practice yoga and began to cultivate an inner peace that she had not known possible.
Jennifer teaches a variety of classes, including power, vinyasa, beginner, chair yoga, and hatha and is available for private one-on-one and small group instruction.
Jennifer completed her 200 hour yoga teacher certification with Open Doors Yoga Studio in conjunction with Roslindale Yoga and became a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) through Yoga Alliance. She continues her studies with a variety of instructors and workshops, including:
